UMF Craiova application platform: what Canadians should prepare

Platform basics

The application is built inside the university platform.

UMF Craiova states that candidates apply by accessing the online platform, filling in all required fields, and uploading all mentioned documents. Documents sent by post, email, or courier are not taken into consideration for the online application file.

That means the platform should be treated as the official record. Keep clean copies of every PDF you upload, every payment proof, and every confirmation message. Do not rely on scattered screenshots or phone photos.

PDF quality

Use clean PDF files, not random photo uploads.

The official UMF page says documents should be scanned only in PDF format and that the document name should include the document type and the candidate's surname. It also says original documents and legalized translations should be scanned into a single PDF document and uploaded in the appropriate section.

For Canadians, this is where many problems start. A transcript photo, cropped passport, blurry report card, or separate translation file can create friction. Build the file like a professional upload package.

• Use a flat, readable scan for each document.
• Combine the original and legalized translation where the university requests one PDF.
• Name files clearly, using document type plus surname.
• Avoid phone shadows, cut corners, screenshots, or compressed images.
• Keep a backup folder with the exact submitted PDFs.

Email rule

Use a personal email address that contains your full name.

UMF Craiova states that the candidate must use a personal email address containing the full name and that the address will be used to create the student account if admitted. The page also says candidates have the obligation to periodically check email and file status.

For StudyROM clients, this becomes a simple rule: do not use a parent email, school email that might expire, nickname email, or shared account. Use a clean personal Gmail or similar address you will keep through arrival.

Payment validation

The file is checked only after the processing fee is validated.

The official page says files receive a registration code, but only files with a validated processing fee are checked and considered for admission competition. It also states the processing fee is valid for one program of study only and is non-refundable.

Before paying the fee, make sure the program category and study program are correct. A wrong selection can become expensive and stressful.
